MY DEVICE DOES WORK ANYMORE/DOES NOT WORK AS WELL AS IT USED TO, WHAT MIGHT BE THE ISSUE?
Your device may be not activated. Replace the battery as described in the maintenance page, “Change battery”.
Your tube or tip may be damaged or clogged with earwax. Clean or replace them as described in the “Maintenance” section.
HOW LONG WILL THE BATTERY LAST IN MY TUNEAMP?
The 312 batteries (for the Focus model) should be changed in about 7 days.
The 10 batteries (for the Mini model) should be changed in about 5 days.
The zinc-air batteries used in your device have the characteristic of discharging as soon as the tab has been removed. This may result in a shorter effective time if you use TuneAmp only occasionally.
CAN I CLEAN MY TUNEAMP WITH WATER?
No, it is imperative to protect the hearing aid case from contact with liquids.
You can clean the tip or tube by detaching it from the device. Refer to the “Maintenance” section of this manual.
HOW CAN I PROTECT MY TUNEAMP WHEN NOT IN USE?
Your TuneAmp includes a storage case. It is essential to store your device when not in use, preferably in a Dry&Store drying appliance.
WHY DOES MY TUNEAMP WHISTLE?
When you cover the device with your hand or when you install your TuneAmp to your ear, it can begin to whistle. This is normal because you create a sound box around the unit. Whistling should stop when you move your hand away.
It is possible that an excess of ear wax partially clogs the tube and causes whistling. Clean or change the tubing as described in the “Maintenance” section of this manual.
The tip may not be suitable for your ear canal. In this case, try a wider tip (a dome) so that the tip matches the ear canal.
